The Craft Foreman is responsible for the successful completion of field tasks with quality construction, zero accidents, and within budget as assigned by the Project Superintendent. This role also involves providing support and accurate information to the Project Superintendent. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with current training in various safety and construction-related areas. The foreman will organize and monitor crews, ensure work accuracy, manage safety compliance, handle layout using survey equipment, complete timesheets, manage field material requisitions and small tools, monitor productivity, maintain field logs, and manage erosion control. Additionally, the role involves identifying drawing discrepancies, attending meetings, assisting with facility startup, coordinating with shop drawings, providing as-built information, contributing to production plans, and managing material handling, receiving, and inventory. A key aspect is understanding task budgets and assisting the Superintendent with scheduling. The foreman is also responsible for reporting issues, identifying exceptional craft workers, and supporting craft worker training. Safety is a primary focus, including assisting with accident investigations, leading by example in safety practices, ensuring crew compliance, scheduling and organizing training, completing safety paperwork, assisting with safety violations, complying with Risk Management, monitoring subcontractor compliance, leading morning stretch and flex, and delivering Safety Task Assignments (STAs).
