The Craft Foreman is responsible for the successful completion of field tasks, ensuring quality construction, zero accidents, and adherence to budget as assigned by the Project Superintendent. This role also involves providing support and accurate information to the Project Superintendent. The foreman will organize and monitor crews, verify work accuracy, ensure safety compliance by conducting daily Safety Task Assignments (STAs), and manage various operational aspects on site. This includes layout using survey equipment, completing timesheets, handling material requisitions, managing small tools, monitoring productivity, maintaining field logs, and managing erosion control. The position requires active participation in meetings, assisting with facility startup, coordinating with shop drawings, providing as-built information, and contributing to production plans. Additionally, the Craft Foreman is responsible for material handling, inventory, understanding task budgets, assisting with scheduling, reporting issues, recognizing exceptional craft workers, and supporting worker training. A significant part of the role involves leading by example in safety, assisting with accident investigations, ensuring crew adherence to safety rules, scheduling training, completing safety paperwork, assisting with safety violations, complying with Risk Management, and monitoring subcontractor compliance.
