The Southwest Louisiana Area Health Education Center (SWLAHEC) is a premier community-based agency made up of diverse, knowledgeable and accountable employees and volunteers working together to achieve a common mission by providing creative solutions to health challenges. SWLAHEC improves health status through access to information, education and health services. The Site Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day supervision and oversight of the COVID-19 testing site operations, personnel performing testing and reporting of test results. Must demonstrate high-level leadership and organizational skills and be accessible to testing personnel in order to provide consultation as needed.

  • Provide onsite day-to-day supervision of COVID-19 testing/screening performance.
  • Provide competent and compassionate care to all clients/patients.
  • Resolve technical problems in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Provide orientation to all testing personnel and perform performance documentation.
  • Educate and update clients/patients on current recommendations.
  • Safeguard the client/patient by observing appropriate infection control procedures including but not limited to universal precautions.
  • Superior communication skills, written and verbal.
  • A detail-oriented, logical, and methodological approach to problem solving.
  • Works cooperatively as a member of a team and is committed to the overall team objectives.
  • Listening and conflict resolution skills with sensitivity to others’ needs.
  • Takes ownership of work and ensures it is completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
  • Follows the organization’s rules and expectations and complies with all laws and regulations.
  • Establishes and maintains constructive, positive working relationships built upon trust.
  • Adapts to competing demands and shifting priorities.
  • RN or APRN (required)
  • Healthcare, 3 years (required)
  • Work authorization United States (required)
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred)
  • Team leadership experience (preferred)
  • Infection control knowledge or experience (preferred)
