It’s Cove Kids’ desire to attract kids and families by creating and maintaining an atmosphere relative to children’s worship, ensure teachings are presented in a fun and relevant manner to the various age groups attending the program each week. We also want to retain our families and team members, by making sure everyone feels loved and valued when they come through the doors of Cove Kids. One of our goals is to develop our leaders, team members, and children, by focusing on training them and continuing to look for creative ways to teach our children. We always aim to partner with parents in introducing our children to Jesus and watching them grow as we celebrate God moving in their lives.

Requirements

  • DNA Carrier: Vision Caster and Cultural Carrier of the mission and vision of The Cove.
  • Mobilizer: Leader who develops other leaders.
  • Collaborator: Ability to generate feedback and input to accomplish goals and objectives.
  • A team player: Works well with a team and within the organizational structure.
  • Communicator: Excellent communication skills.
  • Multi-tasker: Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite.
  • Live a life worthy of the calling as taught in Ephesians 4.
  • Live the Mission, Values, and 5 Habits.
  • Adhere to and encompass the qualities and characteristics required of The Cove Church employees, as defined by The Ministry Policy Manual and Staff Handbook.
  • Faithfully tithing consistently at least 10% of all personal income to God’s work through The Cove Church.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for a vision and standards for Cove Kids and Cove Academy.
  • Develop strong relationships with staff, volunteers, children, and parents with the desire to help them grow in their relationship with Jesus and in their relationship with others.
  • Train and equip Cove Kids staff and key leaders to prepare them to minister to children and parents.
  • Provide both short-term and long-term strategy and leadership to create and maintain a ministry of excellence.
  • Create and implement performance standards measurable for periodic evaluations for Cove Kids staff.
  • Recruit, screen, and train staff and volunteers.
  • Forecast and maintain budgets for Cove Kids and Cove Academy.
  • Maintain continuous staff development opportunities.
  • Drive staff and volunteer appreciation initiatives.
  • Oversee centralized support model with Cove Kids at all campuses.
  • Initiate consistent meetings and opportunities for feedback with key Campus Leaders and staff members.
  • Offer continuous leadership and team member development opportunities for staff and team members.
  • Actively pursue updating and establishing innovative and progressive policies and procedures to span across all campuses.
  • Metric analysis utilizing attendance, new attendee, salvation, baptism, etc. data to identify specific recommendations to strengthen operations, document yearly comparisons and achieve measurable results.
  • Oversee the selection and creating of Cove Kids curriculum and ensuring excellence with all video and print pieces.
  • Establish a discipleship pattern and curriculum path for Cove Kids program.
