About The Position

The purpose of the Kids Ministry Director position is to provide vision and overall leadership for the Kids Ministry at Crossroads Bible Church (CBC), in accordance with the overall mission, vision and core values of CBC.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree required (master’s degree preferred) from an accredited evangelical college or seminary.
• Proven track record of effective leadership and faith development in Kids Ministry.
• At least 5 years of experience leading Kids Ministry in a church or para-church organization.
• A personal surrender to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
• Mature Christian meeting biblical qualification for leadership (1 Timothy 3:2-7).
• Passion for Jesus and for kids and their families; lives missionally.
• A servant-leader, faithful, humble, teachable.
• Intuitive, discerning, friendly, and smiles often.
• Able to cast clear and compelling vision; able to motivate others and implement vision.
• Able to lead and disciple individuals, teams, small groups and large groups.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, strives for excellence.
• A clear understanding of current trends and effective methods that will reach today’s kids.
• All staff (including their immediate family if they are married or have kids) should call CBC their home church and, as such, model regular attendance and involvement as members of CBC.

Responsibilities

• Develop, communicate, and implement vision for Kids Ministry that is fun, exciting, and regularly sees kids surrendering to Jesus and becoming more like Him.
• Manage, equip and empower the Kids Ministry staff.
• Recruit, equip, empower and appreciate adult volunteer leaders and student leaders.
• Develop and lead fun, energetic weekly programing and special events that kids love and want their friends to experience too.
• Provide dynamic, relevant, and biblical teaching that helps kids know God and learn to trust and obey His Word.
• Provide resources for parents/families to develop as spiritual leaders for their kids.
