About The Position

The Courtesy Security Officer is responsible for maintaining the security of the property, which includes making frequent rounds, ensuring all doors are properly secured, and being aware of residents' locations. The role involves direct interaction with residents and their families to address concerns, following emergency procedures and safety guidelines, and maintaining a courtesy staff golf cart. Proficiency in Life Safety Code issues and knowledge of MSDS are essential for this position.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Valid Texas Driver's License required
• Knowledge of MSDS and Life Safety Codes

Nice To Haves

• Some security type experience preferred
• Computer knowledge helpful
• Military background helpful

Responsibilities

• Fill out courtesy staff log book
• Make frequent rounds of property observing and making sure all doors are secured properly
• Work directly with residents and family members on any of their concerns
• Follow emergency procedures and all safety guidelines
• Maintain courtesy staff golf cart
• Knowledge of all emergency procedures
• Proficient in all Life Safety Code issues
• Inspect all areas of Independent Living building
• Be aware of resident’s locations at all times
