Court Sports Maintenance Technician
About The Position
We are currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Court Sports Maintenance Technician to join our Tennis Department! Quail West is a leading private golf and country club that prides itself on providing world-class facilities for Members and their guests and an extraordinary and inclusive, yet unpretentious lifestyle. One of Southwest Florida’s most welcoming clubs, Quail West’s courses, facilities and services are shared by a limited number of members to enhance the quality of the member experience. The Court Sports Maintenance Technician duties include clay court maintenance and repair, facility maintenance, cleaning and other duties as assigned. This is a Full-Time position Schedule: Monday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday and Saturday Compensation: $21.00/hr
Requirements
- Has a valid driver’s license.
- Experience in general repairs, and general knowledge of tennis/pickleball is preferred.
- Adapts to changes in the work environment.
- Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
- Observes safety and security procedures.
- Reports potentially unsafe conditions.
- Uses equipment and materials properly.
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in general repairs, and general knowledge of tennis/pickleball is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Rolls, brushes surface, and sweeps lines of Har-Tru Hydrocourts.
- Assures that courts receive proper water, either through controlling Har-Tru Hydrocourt floats or by applying water to courts with the use of hoses
- Builds up low spots, shaves high spots, dusts on all Har-Tru courts.
- Keeps court tapes, nets, fences, tidy courts, light poles, rest areas and gates in good condition.
- Replaces tennis or pickleball nets as needed.
- Empties trash from court and Tennis Pavilion receptacles.
- Take emptied trash to dumpsters daily.
- Pick up deliveries from Golf Pro Shop as needed.
- Maintains tennis shoe cleaners.
- Brushes Bocce courts daily and roll them as needed.
- Puts chairs in neat order and keeps the tables clean.
- Prevents weed growth at court edges and on courts.
- Help sanitize door handles, ice machine, shoe cleaner handles, railings, and gate handles.
- Installs, takes down, and repairs court wind screens as needed and dictated by wind conditions.
- Set up ball machine for members use as needed.
- Cleans net tape on tennis and pickleball courts as needed.
- Blows all court patios, pickleball courts and Tennis Pavilion pavers.
- Performs any additional tasks needed to keep tennis courts, Tennis Pavilion, and surrounding areas in good order.
- Keeps maintenance equipment in good working order.
- Keeps court maintenance shed in good shape at all times.
- Arranges for any special machine maintenance or repair that requires outside resources.
- Orders and picks up maintenance machine parts and fuel.
- Delivers machines to repair shop for overhauls and picks up machine when ready.
- Clean and sanitize playground area weekly.
