About The Position

Landscapes Golf Management and River Run Country Club are looking for a Full Time Tennis Court Maintenance Technician. This position will be responsible for a range of activities involved in the upkeep, grooming and conditioning of 9 Outdoor Clay Tennis Courts, 3 Outdoor Hard Tennis Courts, 5 Outdoor Pickleball Courts, 4 Indoor Tennis Courts, including the facility areas surrounding the courts. Requirements

• Experience in tennis court maintenance is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of clay court construction, maintenance and best practices.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and safety conscientious.
• High school education required, college degree preferred.
• 1-year tennis court maintenance experience preferred.
• Prior experience with irrigation systems.
• Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Seeing and hearing: read documents, computer screen, answer phones, communicate in person 0-24%
• Reaching above head, bending at the waist 75-100%
• Standing and walking 75-100%
• Climbing, stooping, squatting and kneeling 50-75%
• Dexterity: utilizing phone, typing, and writing 0-24%
• Lift in excess of 50 pounds 25%-75%
• Lifts 10 to 20 pounds regularly 75-100%

Responsibilities

• Completes or coordinates all the daily upkeep and maintenance of our clay tennis courts, pickle ball courts; hard courts both inside and outside ensuring they are in optimal playing condition.
• Performs daily clay court maintenance including brushing and dragging courts, watering to maintain proper moisture levels, rolling and maintaining court lines by brushing, sweeping, retaping or painting as needed.
• Performs periodic maintenance including deep cleaning of the clay courts, top dressing and repair of divots and uneven areas.
• Monitors and maintains the irrigation system including sprinklers and timers of the clay courts.
• Maintains hard court and pickleball courts ensuring playing surface is well groomed and consistently safe for players.
• Maintains the cleanliness of surrounding court areas including walkways, benches, fencing, water coolers, cabana covers and bases.
• Ensures that all trash is properly removed from the court areas.
• Restocks towels, cups, ice, coolers and other amenities as needed daily.
• Ensures all tennis equipment is in proper working conditions and incompliance with local health codes.
• Maintains inventory of cleaning, maintenance, repair and related supplies.
• Assists with preparation of special functions, parties, tournaments, etc., by setting up tables and chairs, installing decorations and constructing display pieces.
• Assists with housekeeping as necessary including cleaning toilets, sinks and floors, vacuuming, dusting windows, doors and shelves, replacing toilet paper and paper towels, laundering and folding linens and towels.
• Maintains all current building and safety codes and complies with all safety regulations.
• Attends and actively participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
• Demonstrates a commitment to the work and success of the club and the Company by being service- and solution-oriented, having positive interactions with all club staff and members/guests, and meeting established quality, service and safety expectations.
• Performs additional assignments per the direction of club or Company managers.
• Regular and punctual attendance on site for all scheduled shifts is required.
