The Fourth Judicial District is pleased to accept applications for a Court Operations Supervisor for the Court Reporter Unit (CRU). The Court Operations Supervisor will work closely with the Court Reporter Unit Manager to provide division oversight, consistent leadership and expectations, and supervisory coverage. This position will primarily be responsible for supervising Court Reporters and overseeing district wide scheduling of the Court Reporter Unit. The Court Reporter Unit is located on the 8th floor of the Hennepin County Government Center, in downtown Minneapolis. However, some travel within Hennepin County is required. Hours for this position are generally 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday; supervisors are expected to be flexible according to business needs. This position is currently working both remotely and in-person so access to reliable internet is required. The Court Reporter Unit (CRU) model represents a highly unique and effective approach to upholding the integrity of the official court record by employing innovative technology relating to digital recording equipment, in addition to a highly skilled team of stenographic and electronic court reporters. The CRU is responsible for the coordination of court reporter coverage for Hennepin County District Court; the operation and maintenance of the digital recording system and technology; the development and implementation of related training and outreach; as well as creating and preserving the official record and processing audio and transcript requests.
