About The Position

OnRamps prepares students and teachers for success in the classroom and beyond. We build partnerships across K12 and higher education to raise the bar on dynamic experiences that advance student success while lowering barriers to access and opportunity. Nicole Reneau - Supervisor Up to 10-15 hours weekly. Schedule to be determined with supervisor. Students will be allowed to work remotely from Austin, Texas. Assignments effective August 15, 2025 - May 15, 2026 Several positions open to The University of Texas at Austin undergraduate students only Purpose OnRamps Course Graders support course management in the OnRamps Discovery Precalculus course through grading of student assessments. They also provide sustained contributions to ongoing initiatives as well as just-in-time assistance with seasonal and urgent projects.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in Mathematics or a related field (such as Engineering or Physics).
  • Intermediate computer skills: MS Word, Excel, and Equation Editor.
  • Experience with Canvas LMS.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in and knowledge of local, state, and national dual-enrollment and college-readiness initiatives.
  • Expert computer skills: MS Word, Excel, and Equation editor.
  • Experiences with Smartsheet.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains accuracy and consistency while grading course assignments and assessments in Canvas Learning Management System.
  • Revises and finalizes modules, activities, assessments, and other course resources in Canvas Learning Management System.
  • Participates in course prototyping, user testing, and continuous improvement.
