The BYU School of Medicine invites applications for a full-time faculty position as Course Director for Organ Systems 2 – Microbes and Immunity. This Phase 1 course introduces first-year medical students to the immune system, microbiology, host-pathogen interactions, and related pathophysiologic processes. The course emphasizes foundational concepts in immunology and microbiology, integrated with clinical applications, case-based learning, and early patient relevance. The Course Director will coordinate the design, delivery, and evaluation of the course content, working closely with faculty from immunology, microbiology, pathology, and infectious diseases, as well as the Director of Phase 1. The ideal candidate is a basic scientist with deep expertise in immunology and/or microbiology, experience teaching medical students, and a demonstrated commitment to student-centered education.
