The Counter Sales associate is primarily responsible for selling and promoting HVAC products in person at the sales counter and/or over the phone. This role involves quoting product prices on standard items, entering orders into the computer system, and relaying pertinent order information to the customer. The associate will receive and process requests directly from external/internal customers for price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations. They will also accumulate necessary information for special item quotations and coordinate with other company personnel. The position requires using a computer system to retrieve customer information, stock status, and purchase order status, and making changes as needed. Accurate and timely order entry, ensuring correct codes are used, and following up on orders for delivery information are essential. The associate will work to expedite scheduled shipments and communicate with customers, as well as process information for accurate credit on returned goods. Establishing and maintaining customer relationships by solving problems, utilizing product knowledge, and offering outstanding customer-focused service is key. The role also includes providing counter sales support and backup, and participating in product meetings, seminars, and training to enhance and maintain product knowledge. Excellent attendance and the ability to meet deadlines are required.
