The Counter Sales associate is primarily responsible for selling and promoting HVAC products in person at the sales counter and/or over the phone. This role involves quoting product prices on standard items, entering orders into the computer system, and relaying pertinent order information to the customer. The associate will receive and process requests directly from external/internal customers for price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations. They will accumulate necessary information for special item quotations and coordinate with other company personnel to deliver these. The position requires using a computer system to retrieve customer information, stock status, and purchase order status, making changes as needed, and accurately entering orders in a timely manner. The associate will follow up on orders, expedite scheduled shipments, and communicate delivery information to customers. Processing information for accurate credit on returned goods is also a responsibility. The role demands a friendly and helpful attitude, establishing and maintaining customer relationships by solving problems, utilizing product knowledge, and offering outstanding customer-focused service. Counter sales support and backup are required as needed. The associate will participate in product meetings, seminars, and training schools to enhance and maintain product knowledge. Excellent attendance and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.
