About The Position

The Counsel, Global Technical Servies, Real Estate and EOHSS Law role will have the opportunity to join the dynamic Global Drug Development, Manufacturing & Corporate Transactions (GDMCT) legal team at BMS. The GDMCT Law team provides comprehensive legal support on Drug Development, Global Quality, Supply Chain, Import/Export, Customs and Trade, Facilities and Engineering, Product Development, EHS and Occupational Health matters, Manufacturing Operations (internal and external) for all therapeutic areas (including Biologics, Small Molecule, Cell Therapy). The GDMCT team also provides transactional support across the enterprise. The role will report into the Assistant General Counsel and Head of EOHSS, Technical Services & Real Estate Law.

Requirements

  • Legal degree with 5 or more years of pharmaceutical legal experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with colleagues and advise and influence colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Flexibility to work with speed and quality on a broad range of matters.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent judgement, time management, and cross functional collaboration skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Helpful experience includes law firm, in-house and/ or government work experience.
  • Experience with transactions is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support to on matters related to EHS and Occupational Health, including compliance and enforcement matters (e.g. engaging with external authorities)
  • Provide legal support to the Global Technical Services Organization, including transactional support for complex capital projects.
  • Provide legal support to the Real Estate Organization, including transactional support for complex real estate matters.
  • Work closely with business and contracting stakeholders to ensure early identification, prioritization, timely escalation, and resolution of contracts and issues.
  • Support the Enterprise Network Strategy
