About The Position

Cost Analyst The Opportunity: As a cost analyst, you’re passionate about uncovering the story behind the numbers through diving into the root cause of a challenge, analyzing data, and developing recommendations that drive smarter decisions. We need an analyst like you to help our Navy clients solve complex problems and improve program performance. On our team supporting Navy acquisitions, you’ll evaluate data and develop analytical approaches to support cost estimation, finan cia l modeling, and program assessment. You’ll help shape data-driven strategies using methods such as statistical analysis, cost-benefit analysis, lifecycle cost estimation, and what-if scenario modeling to deliver actionable insights. You won’t go at it alone, you’ll work with cross-functional teams consisting of technical experts, acquisition professionals, and industry experts to analyze and interpret programmatic and cost data. Once documented, you’ll help develop cohesive presentations to communicate findings, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to program meetings that inform acquisition and budget ing decisions. In this role, you’ll use your analytic expertise and understanding of cost principles to apply modeling and measurement techniques to evaluate system affordability, readiness, and risk. Join us. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience performing detailed cost estimation, analysis, or forecasting
  • Experience developing and evaluating metrics and data trends over a defense acquisition program lifecycle
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing cost and technical data to develop functional cost models
  • Experience using Micro sof t Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management ( EVM ) and Schedule Analysis
  • Ability to work in a classified environment
  • TS / SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s in an Economics, Business, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Navy Acquisition Program Offices
  • Experience in risk and uncertainty analysis
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation ( FAR ) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplemental ( DFAR )
  • Possession of excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Master’s degree in Research, Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Analytics, Data Science, or Business
  • Defense Acquisition University Business - Cost Estimating or PMP Certification
  • Certified Cost Estimator Analyst ( CCEA® ) or Professional Cost Estimator Analyst ( PCEA® ) Certification
