About The Position

The Jr. Cost Analyst -SpRCO position requires a minimum of three years of progressive DoD, e.g., Air Force, Navy, Army, Missile Defense Agency and any other DoD organizations or any Air Force ACAT I level acquisition program cost analysis experience. With a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Economics, Math, Engineering, or Economics. The applicant will be responsible for developing and delivering cost estimates for defense acquisition related projects. Applicant should have a thorough understanding of cost estimating, defense acquisition and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution System (PPBES). Applicant will be responsible for creating estimates using ACEIT (www.aceit.com), Excel, and other software tools. The applicant may be required to work with higher DoD officials and communicate with prime contractor personnel.

Requirements

  • minimum of three years of progressive DoD, e.g., Air Force, Navy, Army, Missile Defense Agency and any other DoD organizations or any Air Force ACAT I level acquisition program cost analysis experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in ICBM related subsystems or similar DoD weapons systems
  • experience with data collection, normalization and possess knowledge of the Defense Cost and Resource Center (DCARC) data collection process
  • experience with Earned Value Management and Scheduling principles to assist in development of cost estimates
  • proficient in the use of M/S office applications, i.e., M/S Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent verbal communication, written, and quantitative analytical skills are required
  • proficient in performing government cost estimating activities such as cost/price analysis, WBS development, and risk analysis
  • able to work in a team environment and in a sensitive compartmented information facilities (SCIF)
  • able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity of DoD acquisition policies and DoD project management process are desirable
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management and Scheduling desirable
  • Additionally, a strong working knowledge of ACEIT is highly desirable
