About The Position

The CA works with owners and the office staff to ensure that all jobs are costed properly, accurately, and follow the guidelines for Cost Accountant. You will be practicing continuous improvement every day as you establish rapport with insurance carriers, customers, vendors, subcontractors, adjusters, agents and fellow team members! What does a CA with Paul Davis do? Manage all phases of job costing within RMS and QuickBooks Accounting Software Manage the daily operations of the business as needed when the owner or GM is not available Maintain all accounting, computer and financial records for business in conjunction with a CPA At Paul Davis, we help homeowners put their lives together after a traumatic event. Requirements

  • High school degree.
  • Basic accounting experience is required.
  • Organization of books and records and filing systems.
  • Proficiency with office equipment and computers and software.

Nice To Haves

  • Office Manager experience is helpful along with a desire to learn new skills.
  • Construction industry experience is a plus.
  • Quicken QuickBooks online and advanced Excel skills.
  • CoreLogic RMS/Dash experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of job costing
  • Work on Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and expenses.
  • Manage the daily operations of the franchise as needed
  • Maintain all accounting, computer and financial records
  • Request and maintain updated Workplace Safety certificates & insurance coverage for subcontractors
  • Review costs vs budget for subcontractors, vendors and materials
  • Enter timesheets and process payroll
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly management reports
