About The Position

This open competitive advertisement is for a SES (Selected Exempt Service) position located at Central Office in Tallahassee, FL, in Probation and Parole Field Services. The mission of Probation and Parole Field Services in the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) is to enhance public safety by supervising offenders in the community, ensuring compliance with court-ordered conditions, and providing support and resources to facilitate their successful reintegration into society. This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

Requirements

Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
Must possess three (3) years of data entry experience in OBIS (including offender intake data such as sentence structure, COPS, DC# assignment).
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

FCIC/NCIC CJIS Certification.
Two years of experience working in a Probation Office.

Responsibilities

Processes all Security Access Requests (SAR’s) for Community Corrections employees and coordinates system notifications for office relocations and closures.
Provides oversight of Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) certifications, nexTEST issues, E-Agent, Rapid IDDNA, printers, automated reports, and various training and certification programs.
Serves as Point of Contact for the FBI/FDLE Audit for Community Corrections, responds to security-related issues, and assists with the Emergency Management application.
Audits and updates security profiles annually, coordinates adjustments with various departmental entities, and assists with training at the Basic Recruit Training Academy.
Assists the CIMIS/COS Unit with testing, Help Desk calls, email, and responds to public record requests for information in CIMS or COPS.
