About The Position

The mission of the Correctional Service Consultant is to support community corrections by recruiting and hiring dedicated staff, managing our vehicle fleet efficiently, and ensuring effective case management. We strive to enhance re-entry efforts, provide essential training, and maintain public safety through diligent oversight and emergency preparedness. Our goal is to serve as a reliable resource for the field, promoting streamlined processes and continuous improvement in all aspects of our operations. This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

Requirements

  • Must possess a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • Must have at least 2 years of Institutional experience.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to Inquiries: Answer phone calls, emails, and letters about recruiting, re-entry programs, vehicle management, and community corrections case management.
  • Recruitment Coordination: Work with personnel to help recruit and hire staff for community corrections. Prepare job advertisements and develop methods to improve the hiring process.
  • Vehicle Fleet Management: Track and manage the community corrections vehicle fleet, ensuring regular maintenance and proper use of vehicles.
  • Case Management and Audits: Conduct reviews and special audits of case management as directed by the Regional Director. Provide training and support to community corrections staff.
  • Emergency Management: Coordinate and implement emergency management systems. Provide emergency management training and support during emergencies as essential staff.
