About The Position

Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry. We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have several labs throughout the country. We are hiring a Corporate Staff Accountant at NDX National Dentex, located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. This is a remote opportunity. The regular hours for this position are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM , Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time. Requirements

  • Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • High level of oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize, and meet required deadlines.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and concepts.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated initiative, self-motivation and assertiveness.
  • Must perform duties in an independent manner with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Team player, maintaining a positive customer focus, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in General Accounting, primarily in a Corporate Accounting environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Experience with ERP software programs required with experience in Oracle preferred.

  • Manufacturing experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of the monthly close process with accuracy and within assigned time requirements.
  • Update Corporate SG&A department reporting and research discrepancies between actuals and budget.
  • Meet monthly with department leaders to walk through results and answer questions.
  • Perform review functions on financial records and processes that may not be under their direct purview to ensure adherence to GAAP.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations per calendar guidelines and record necessary adjustments prior to the end of the month in which the adjustments are identified.
  • Understand and apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that includes analytical work and thorough review of financial records.
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Cross-train with other accountants and FP&A as needed to provide for professional development and to maintain skills on all job-critical tasks.
  • Prepare documentation for external auditors.
  • Other duties as assigned.
