About The Position

The Corporate Investigator ensures all members are compliant per company policy and ensure interactions between members and guests result in a world-class, luxury hotel experience. This position will assist the Investigations Manager and Executive Director of Investigations and Special Operations with managing the day-to-day operations of the Investigations Department.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education in Emergency Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field is a plus
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in security, law enforcement, or investigative work
  • Strong investigative skills, with the ability to analyze information, gather evidence, and draw sound conclusions
  • Proven ability to maintain the confidentiality of the material being handled
  • Literacy and fluent in English
  • Must have a valid Nevada Drivers’ License and clean driving record
  • Able to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues; able to use reason, even when dealing with emotional topics; review facts and weigh options
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Able to remain open-minded and change opinions on the basis of new information; perform a wide variety of tasks and change focus quickly as demands change; manage transitions effectively from task to task; adapt to varying customer needs
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and industry standards
  • Computer literacy required
  • Report writing skills
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as an analyst position or in employee relations is preferred
  • Previous experience working for a large, luxury resort setting preferred
  • Experience working in the field for a high volume, luxury, complex resort is a plus
  • Proficiency in surveillance technology, including the ability to review and analyze surveillance footage

Responsibilities

  • Conduct investigations related to workplace relations, legal matters, and criminal and civil concerns.
  • This position will also work closely with key stakeholders including, but not limited to, Human Resources, Legal, Gaming Surveillance, Finance and Compliance.
  • Conduct complex investigations and/or lead organizational assessments related to workplace relations/legal matters/gaming concerns.
  • Provide training, resources, tools, and templates on conducting effective investigations to members of security.
  • Provide counsel and guidance to managers and employees in interpreting policies and procedures and building positive employee relations.
  • Provide assistance, guidance and support for other related initiatives as requested.
  • Ability to earn the confidence and trust of others, deliver commitments, demonstrate unwavering commitment to ethical conduct, and protect confidential information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that are effective with the appropriate tact and diplomacy for all levels of the organization as well as for external counsel.
  • Ability to document investigative decisions clearly, accurately, and analytically with the ability to support detailed findings.
  • Proven track record of partnering with legal, ethics, line management, and HR leaders on ethics and workplace relations matters.
  • Working knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations, as well as the ability to appropriately interpret and apply policies, laws, and business practices.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data necessary to identify trends and areas of risk.
  • Must be able to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Must be able to demonstrate speed, flexibility, adaptability, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary.
