About The Position

A fast‑growing startup is seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join on a part‑time, 6‑month contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail‑oriented, highly organized paralegal who thrives in a startup environment and enjoys a mix of corporate, administrative, and legal operations work. You will support the company’s sole in‑house legal professional, helping manage a wide range of corporate documentation, equity updates, employment agreements, and administrative tasks. This role offers flexible hours, a fully remote setup, and the potential for workload growth over time.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as a corporate paralegal in an in‑house or law firm environment.
  • Proficiency with Carta (must‑have; used heavily for equity updates).
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance, equity documents, and contracts.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience preparing and managing legal documents.
  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced startup environment.
  • Must be comfortable working remotely and during the required Tue–Thurs West Coast hours.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and organize corporate legal documents and contracts.
  • Maintain and update equity records using Carta (required).
  • Support execution and tracking of employment agreements and onboarding documentation for new hires.
  • Assist with legal operations tasks and general administrative support.
  • Organize and maintain electronic legal files and documentation repositories.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and provide clear, timely communication.
  • Help streamline processes to support the efficiency of the Legal functio
