About The Position

Rex is seeking a Legal Operations & Compliance Manager to run the systems and execution layer of the Legal function. This senior paralegal–level role owns legal operations across corporate governance and securities, litigation support, and employment-related legal processes, ensuring deadlines are met, documentation is airtight, and risk is managed with discipline. The role manages entity and governance records, litigation matter tracking and discovery workflows, employment agreements and agency matters, and requires deep fluency in legal technology, with ownership of the legal systems, workflows, and reporting that power the function. This operator brings strong judgment, exceptional organization, and absolute discretion in handling sensitive matters across the business, partnering closely with attorneys, HR, and outside counsel to create clarity, visibility, and leverage through better systems and process design. Reporting directly to the Director of Legal, this position is critical to keeping legal execution fast, clean, and scalable as the business grows. Fully remote with preference across the Sunbelt region.

Requirements

  • Five (5+) or more years of experience in legal operations, senior paralegal work, or legal support roles with ownership of systems and execution. Less experience is possible with relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting corporate governance, litigation workflows, and employment related legal processes
  • Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage complex, deadline driven workstreams
  • Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive matters
  • Comfortable owning legal technology, databases, and process automation tools
  • Effective partner to attorneys, human resources leaders, and outside counsel while maintaining operational accountability
  • Self directed, disciplined, and calm under pressure in a fast moving environment

Responsibilities

  • Own and operate legal systems, workflows, and reporting across corporate governance, compliance, litigation support, and employment related matters
  • Manage entity formation, governance records, board materials, consents, and ongoing corporate compliance requirements
  • Track and support litigation matters, including intake, deadlines, discovery coordination, document management, and outside counsel workflows
  • Oversee employment related legal processes, including employment agreements, compliance documentation, agency matters, and legal workflows tied to people operations
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and audit ready documentation across all legal matters
  • Partner with internal attorneys and outside counsel to ensure deadlines are met and execution is efficient and cost conscious
  • Continuously improve legal operations processes to reduce friction, increase visibility, and enable faster decision making
  • Serve as a trusted operator handling sensitive and high stakes matters with discretion, judgment, and professionalism
