About The Position

In this role, you will lead the Bechtel Geospatial team to plan and execute survey and meteorology strategy, survey scanning, and drone programs. You will be responsible for maintenance and oversight of Geospatial processes and procedures, establishing and monitoring of performance metrics, and providing strategic guidance to project leadership on Geospatial personnel, safety, and performance matters. #LI-TH1

Requirements

Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience
Proactively considers continuous learning or shows interest to pursue appropriate learning activities

Responsibilities

Proactively engages with their teams' development, competency development/assessment, and feedback
Develops and recommends construction surveying staffing plan for management teams and prepares employee requisitions.
Directs staff employees, ensuring compliance with procedures.
Approves staffing requisitions as delegated by management.
Oversees training of direct hire survey personnel.
Approves timecards, conducts performance assessments, and addresses employee relations concerns
Ensures team's implementation of safety, quality, and environmental programs.
Ensures zero accident philosophy in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely
Administers Field Training programs
Ensures compliance with contract documents
Determines that equipment are in conformance to specifications
Oversees the review of specifications, purchase orders, subcontracts, inspection reports, delivery schedules, instruction manuals and technical data to assist and advise
Leads the review of project design and engineering documents, model, and model data to ensure their completeness and readiness
Ensures work methods are planned and executed safely
Provides surveying guidance and expertise to senior management and all GBUs
Ensure documentation is readily accessible during inspections or audits
Conducts assessments and provides reports to project supervision/leadership
Responsible for Bechtel Survey Global Operations, providing expert survey support to senior management and all GBUs
Responsible for working with project teams to ensure training programs are properly set up and being executed by qualified personnel
Coaches project personnel during field assessments and observations, ensuring best practices are being utilized
Provides knowledge and expertise in a particular discipline, subject matter, or specialized process required for construction (e.g., survey, marine, rail, tunneling, reality capture, remote sensing, metrology, UAS, LiDAR, GNSS, Machine control etc.)
Provides expert technical consultation support to projects
Responsibilities include the qualification of personnel, writing procedures and standards, evaluation of Geospatial technologies
Works with the team to review and keep up to date with Geospatial documents and ensures the credibility/accountability of the Geospatial Programs
Oversees compliance of Geospatial operations
Maintain a structured compliance strategy to stay current with federal and local codes and regulations
Interfaces with GBU's and provides specialized Geospatial support for construction required to meet all code, client/engineering specifications and Bechtel procedures and standards
