This position will require interaction with all internal department's, 3rd party vendor and contractors.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance background with high standards
  • Strong background in safety for industrial environments
  • Strong preventive maintenance (PM) background with skills in developing effective PM procedures.
  • Desire to coach professionals for growth and excellence in maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability processes
  • Self-starter who can work effectively with little supervision
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently
  • Demonstrate good leadership, decision-making, project execution and communication skills
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to solve problems and make decisions based on limited precedents or guidelines
  • Excellent conflict management skills and ability to partner with other organizations to be successful and resolve issues
  • Excellent organizational skills and flexibility to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical field, preferably with food manufacturing or consumer goods industry
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and CAD software
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in a Maintenance department preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety and hygienic engineering preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Predictive maintenance (PdM) experience is desirable
  • Experience with industrial automation and controls (e.g. PLC, servos, etc.) is desirable
  • Previous experience managing in a union environment is desirable
  • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting preferred
  • LME or equivalent electrical license preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Engineering department performance audits and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Hands-on evaluation of condition of industrial bakery equipment of various types
  • Monitor and assist with the maintenance and improvement plans and strategies within the bakeries
  • Develop and drive corrective action plans for bakery maintenance departments that are not meeting performance measures
  • Model safety leadership with maintenance/engineering teams
  • Support the bakeries in identifying improvement opportunities, providing technical support and troubleshooting
  • Research and present new equipment, programs, processes, equipment, etc. that will positively impact the bakeries
  • Provide technical assistance and information as needed
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned
