About The Position

The Corporate Director, Food and Beverage directs the catering and convention services sales operations at a corporate level to ensure all HEI hotels are meeting/exceeding financial goals and achieving customer (guest, employee, corporate, and owners) satisfaction and quality service. Position is responsible for short and long term planning of all catering sales and convention services operations at HEI Hotels and Resorts. Develops the strategies to ensure that every HEI Hotel is the catering and banquet revenue and profit leader within its competitive set. Travel is required up to 25% of the time. Identifies root causes of deficiencies within specific HEI Hotel catering and convention services departments. Directs the process to implement plans and actions to correct these deficiencies and subsequent follow up. Utilizes the HEI Catering and Convention Services Diagnostics for operational excellence to ensure thoroughness and consistency with this process. Continually analyzes all catering and convention services pace report data to ensure all hotels are maximizing revenues. Works with each hotel to address shortfalls in catering and banquet sales. Performs priority property audits. Strategically plans for catering and convention services within all HEI Hotels. Implements the HEI Catering and Convention Services Diagnostics for all new build and property acquisitions. Develops the banquet and catering standard operating procedures including banquet menu development and pricing, meeting standards and day to day catering and convention services operational activities. Builds and drives top line revenues and bottom line food and beverage profits Identifies service improvements, anticipates challenges, and creates competitive breakthrough strategies for the region. Advises GMs, Director of Sales & Marketing, Directors of Catering, Regional team, and Corporate on existing and evolving business/industry trends and issues. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in overall Food & Beverage operations.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of Food and Beverage principles and practices.
  • Complete knowledge of Micros and Micros Symphony systems.
  • Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Travel is required up to 25% of the time.
