About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Corporate Counsel to support a growing, multi-entity organization with a strong presence in the ATM and financial services industry. This role is responsible for contract design and lifecycle management, collections litigation oversight, HR and regulatory compliance, and political/government affairs engagement. The ideal candidate is a pragmatic legal professional who can operate both strategically and tactically, partnering closely with executive leadership and operational teams.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law (Wisconsin preferred or ability to obtain)
  • 2 to 6 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in-house or with exposure to: Commercial contracts Litigation or collections Employment law Regulatory compliance
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
  • Business oriented legal judgment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
  • High level of discretion and professionalism
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in financial services, payments, banking, or ATM related industries
  • Familiarity with Electronic Funds Transfer regulations (e.g., Regulation E)
  • Exposure to multi state compliance environments
  • Prior interaction with government or regulatory agencies

Responsibilities

  • Contract Design & Management Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (vendor, client, service, real estate, banking, and ATM placement agreements)
  • Develop standardized contract templates and playbooks to reduce risk and increase efficiency
  • Manage contract lifecycle including amendments, renewals, and compliance tracking
  • Advise leadership on contract risk exposure and mitigation strategies
  • Oversee and manage collections litigation matters, including coordination with outside counsel
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve recovery rates and reduce legal spend
  • Handle pre-litigation demand processes and settlement negotiations
  • Monitor legal trends impacting collections and creditor rights
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Advise HR on employee relations issues, disciplinary actions, and terminations
  • Assist in development and review of policies, handbooks, and employment agreements
  • Support internal investigations and risk mitigation efforts
  • Provide legal guidance on regulations impacting the ATM and financial services industry
  • Monitor changes in banking, payments, and electronic funds transfer regulations
  • Partner with compliance and operations teams to implement regulatory changes
  • Assist with audits, licensing, and regulatory inquiries
  • Track and analyze legislative and regulatory developments impacting the business
  • Engage with industry groups, regulators, and government stakeholders as needed
  • Support advocacy efforts and compliance with lobbying and reporting requirements
  • Advise leadership on public policy risks and opportunities
