About The Position

We're seeking a talented commercial real estate lawyer to fill the position of Legal Counsel – Real Estate/Colocation. In this pivotal role, you'll be the legal architect transforming cloud computing infrastructure through strategic real estate transactions and comprehensive legal support. Requirements

• 5+ years of legal experience
• Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
• Experience drafting and negotiating a variety of real estate transactional documents (i.e. leases, lease amendments, purchase and sale agreements, easements, development agreements, co-ownership agreements etc.)
• Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
• Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
• Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Structure, draft, and negotiate complex real estate agreements supporting AWS's worldwide data center portfolio
• Provide comprehensive legal counsel on transactional matters, interpreting contracts with precision and strategic insight
• Manage external counsel relationships and oversee portfolio of real estate transactions
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and legal operations
• Resolve legal challenges in commercial relationships and handle pre-litigation inquiries
