About The Position

We are seeking a results-driven Corporate Controller to lead and develop our accounting team at our corporate headquarters in Eagle, Idaho. As a leader in the Toyota Material Handling industry across Idaho and Utah, we pride ourselves on operational excellence and strong financial stewardship. This role is responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, financial reporting, and monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. The Corporate Controller will ensure strong internal controls, oversee audits, and partner closely with executive leadership to drive profitability and scalable, efficient processes across the organization. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of meeting deadlines, maintaining accuracy, and delivering timely, insightful financial information that supports sound business decisions.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • 7 + years of relevant combined accounting and finance experience, with a strong background in building high performing teams in material handling, manufacturing or logistics settings.
  • Experience in Cost Accounting, Cash Flow, Financial Statements, Annual Budget, Ledger, GL, and Year End Close.
  • Proven track record of building high performing teams
  • Working experience as a Financial Controller.
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, customer service and leadership abilities.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CMA designation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directly lead and support the accounting team, setting clear expectations and actively ensuring accuracy, efficiency, teamwork, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage daily accounting activities, including banking transactions, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, while resolving issues as they arise.
  • Prepare, review, and ensure the timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and key performance metrics.
  • Handle and oversee local, state, and federal reporting requirements, including the preparation and filing of tax-related documents.
  • Actively assess risk management practices and corporate insurance coverage, recommending changes as needed.
  • Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies and business processes, perform regular reviews to strengthen internal controls and protect company assets.
  • Review detailed financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and accounting best practices.
  • Take a hands-on role in accounting system improvements and process automation initiatives, from evaluation through implementation and ongoing support.
  • Actively participate in training and continuously build industry knowledge to stay current on best practices and trends.
  • Provide hands-on training and ongoing support to employees, helping them understand, interpret, and apply financial information in their roles.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the accounting function and overall business objectives.
