About The Position

The Corporate Controller is responsible for all aspects of the accounting process. This person will be responsible for maintaining the General Ledger within the accounting system. Reconciling of balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, guiding the company through the monthly close process, and establishing strong internal controls will be key components of the position. The Corporate Controller will work with senior management and department heads in creating the annual and quarterly budget.

Requirements

  • Certified Public Accountant with current license from a State Licensing Board
  • 5 years’ experience in a corporate accounting environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP required
  • 5 years’ experience managing a GL & Financial Statements (including Cash Flow)
  • Strong understanding of debits/credits and their impact on Financial Statements
  • Strong Reconciliation experience
  • Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley section 404 requirements and Internal Control Best Practices
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to accomplish goals and tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Strong problem resolution and interpersonal skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM)
  • Strong Excel skills and use of delimited formats, v-lookup, pivot tables, SQL, and other advanced spreadsheet skills
  • Understanding of database theory and referential integrity
  • Time management, managing processes and ability to multi task
  • Ability to adapt in a fast paced environment
  • Strong Team Building Skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM preferred
  • Experience in the transportation Industry preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Direct the Accounts Payable and the Accounts Receivable process
  • Manage Fixed Assets and Capital Budgeting process
  • Analyze and interprets financial data and recommends changes to improve systems and financial performance
  • Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans
  • Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting internal audits; providing information to external auditors
