About The Position

The Corporate Communications Intern will gain hands-on experience in internal communications, public speaking, business solutions, public relations, employee engagement, content creation, social media, digital communications, and brand management while contributing to company-wide initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, video production, media studies, public relations, business management, journalism, graphic design, or a related field
  • Experience in content creation, public relations, marketing, or digital media
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication
  • Experience with social media platforms
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Valid driver’s license and insurability under company policy
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs and operate multimedia equipment

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and executing communication plans that align with company goals
  • Write, design, and edit content for newsletters, reports, press releases, websites, and social media
  • Coordinate photo and video content creation and maintain digital asset libraries
  • Provide support for internal and external events including planning, materials, and on-site presence
  • Engage with the public, media, and community partners to promote brand awareness
  • Ensure brand consistency and usability across all communications and design materials
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather information for content development
  • Manage production timelines, printing estimates, and vendor coordination for communications materials
  • Monitor social media accounts, recommending content strategies as needed
  • Research industry trends and best practices in communications and marketing
  • Assist with marketing project coordination, file organization, and task tracking
  • Travel occasionally to support events and outreach initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • The intern will be responsible for completing all tasks outlined in their summer project plans assigned by managers.
  • Interns must participate in all mandatory internship programming, evaluation periods and professional development sessions.
  • Attending sessions remotely will be determined and approved by program manager.
