Opportunity Summary As a NAES Corporate Communications Intern, you will be embedded in the heart of our corporate messaging engine. Your primary project will be the execution of an extensive communications campaign where you will learn to navigate the nuances of internal employee engagement and brand positioning. By the end of the program, you will have a tangible “win” for your portfolio, showing your ability to move a project from creative concept to a multi-channel reality. You will utilize internal and external communication tools, including but not limited to: ContactMonkey, NAES Intranet, Wordpress, LinkedIn, and Adobe Suite.

Requirements

  • We are accepting applications from students who are currently enrolled in a Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or English program.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with social media platforms
  • Interest in digital content strategy
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess a valid drivers' license at all times

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of design principles (experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Campaign Management Assist in the strategy, drafting, and deployment of a three-month corporate campaign
  • Meet weekly with the Communications team to review campaign metrics, messaging tone, and project timelines
  • Content Creation Draft and schedule company-wide emails and intranet announcements to keep employees informed and engaged
  • Collaborate with the Communications Associate to create, curate, and schedule engaging posts across professional social platforms
  • Author a featured article or blog post documenting the campaign’s impact or success stories
  • Assist in designing basic graphics, layouts, or slide decks to maintain a cohesive visual identity for the campaign
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Work alongside members of the Communications team to learn the technical aspects of communications, social media algorithms and graphic design software
  • Participate in meetings with various departments to gather content and ensure campaign accuracy
