About The Position

The Business Systems Support Trainer will facilitate Waste Pro Navusoft and Business Systems training to ensure users are proficient and continually develop new skills as product enhancements are introduced. Additionally, this position will support continuous improvement development through the development of curriculum and training materials

Requirements

  • Education: Prefer BA/BS degree in teaching, business, training and development or related field. Related work experience can be substituted for educational requirements.
  • At least 2 years teaching or training experience. Waste Industry experience preferred.
  • Strong command of English language and good communication skills.
  • Above average organization, interpersonal, listening, presentation and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional demeanor and adaptability required to change as dictated by situation(s).
  • Proficiency in using array of software packages, including MS Outlook, Word, PPT and Excel.
  • Well versed in problem solving.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exemplary leadership and time management skills.
  • Must be prepared for extensive travel within a defined regional territory.
  • High degree of autonomy, yet team oriented with ability to work cross functionally within dynamic environment.
  • Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, driving, etc.) most of the workday.
  • Properly licensed with ability to drive a motor vehicle.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
  • Ability to travel - May require travel up to 80% of the time .

Responsibilities

  • Training Delivery: Lead individual and group training sessions, both in-person and online, for software applications and systems.
  • Develop Training Materials: Create user manuals, video tutorials, training guides, and other educational content.
  • Product Demonstrations: Conduct live demos and webinars for clients, stakeholders, or internal teams to showcase product features and updates.
  • Client Support: Provide software training and troubleshooting support to clients, helping them maximize their use of the product.
  • Curriculum Development: Work with product teams to update and maintain training content based on product updates or new features.
  • Assess Learners: Assess the understanding and effectiveness of training sessions, adjusting content and delivery methods as needed to meet learner needs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest software trends, tools, and best practices in training methodologies.
  • Reporting & Feedback: Gather feedback from participants and managers to improve training materials, processes, and tools.
  • Onboarding Support: Assist new employees in understanding and using internal software systems effectively.
  • Configuration and Mapping: Assist with conversion mapping and configuration set up.
  • Follow up : Manage the follow up process for users that have completed training. Reinforce training with short videos, Q&A, email reminders, job aides, etc.
  • Responsible for keeping up to date on current technology used by both Waste Pro USA and other managed service businesses, as job appropriate.
  • Attend and participate in corporate sponsored courses and events, as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • If video creation platforms (i.e., Vyond, Synthesia, etc.) are necessary to develop custom online learning, coordinate licensing with the Learning and Development Director.
