Location: Old Greenwich, CT, New York, NY or West Palm Beach, FL The Role: We are seeking an exceptionally talented attorney to join our team to: Prepare and negotiate a high volume of varying commercial agreements for our US and international offices, such as vendor agreements, license/technology agreements, finance-related agreements, and service provider agreements; Take an active role in creating and updating template documents; Support human resources in connection with employment agreements and employment matters; Review and advise on marketing materials and promotional activities (including website content and social media); Handle corporate entity governance matters; Perform research in substantive areas driven by company initiatives; Collaborate effectively with colleagues across levels and functions; Contribute actively to both strategic goals and operational execution – no task is too big or too small; Liaise with external counsel primarily in an international setting; Provide clear, practical and actionable advice; Take ownership of deliverables from start to finish, with consistent follow-through and timely communication; Attend in-person and virtual meetings, as assigned; and Work alongside team members on day-to-day tasks and larger projects in support of global operations.

Requirements

  • 4-8 years of corporate and transactional legal experience
  • Depth of experience with a broad range of commercial agreements
  • Excellent drafting skills with a focus on clarity, precision and practical application
  • Ability to manage a high volume of work in a timely manner, while maintaining communication with stakeholders regarding expectations and outcomes
  • Experience in supporting various teams, including human resources and finance
  • The instinct to anticipate issues and address gaps proactively
  • Orientation towards action and ownership by following through, not just weighing in
  • Aptitude to quickly synthesize complex information and cultivate subject matter expertise in unfamiliar and emerging areas as needed
  • Ability to drive progress across multiple workstreams while navigating evolving business needs and adjusting priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and handle work on all levels
  • Professionalism and sound, practical business judgment, delivering business-oriented solutions
  • Reliable, service-oriented and highly attentive to detail and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal skills reflected in clear communications, reliable responsiveness and humility
  • Comfort with working independently under limited supervision coupled with strong collaboration skills, with a keen sense of knowing when to align, when to escalate and when to execute
  • Active membership in the Connecticut, New York State or Florida Bar (or eligible for authorized house counsel status), depending on location
