Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in accounting or related field
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting, financial/reporting processes, and internal controls.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to meet the needs of the business while ensuring compliance with all company policies
  • Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills are necessary
  • Proficient skills with core Microsoft Office products required.
  • Major ERP system experience required, JDE E1, a plus.
  • Longer hours are required during quarter and year-end financial closing cycles.
  • Longer hours may also be required on an as-needed basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Public Accountant license or master’s degree preferred, not required
  • Hyperion or EPM experience a plus
  • Travel may be required on a limited basis.

Responsibilities

  • Review and authorize journal entries and account reconciliations as well as assigned financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policy and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive Asset-Based Lending (ABL) reports by gathering, analyzing, and validating financial data to support lending decisions and maintain transparency with stakeholders.
  • Administer account management processes within JDE, Blackline, and FCC systems, including the setup of new ledger accounts and business units
  • Oversee monthly payroll for US and Canada by validating Workday files and ensuring all activity is posted
  • Ensure all approval documentation is properly completed, stored, and accessible for audits or internal reviews, maintaining a strong control environment.
  • Review and provide guidance on capital expenditure requests
  • Support on legal entity Transfer Pricing analysis and related profit recognition
  • Reconciliation of E1 Sales Tax and Avalara records, coordination with tax department on filings
  • Oversee and participate in monthly close process and other daily activities (e.g., journal entries, accruals process, account reconciliations, invoice approvals, and monthly financial reporting) of the corporate office. This includes ensuring Corporate’s financial/accounting processes are performed in a timely and accurate manner per the close calendar and according to the Company’s standards.
  • Manage annual audits and quarterly reviews with external auditors regarding corporate matters.
  • Ensure Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance; participate in ongoing monitoring, testing and evaluation of internal controls
  • Help lead, identify, and implement best practices and improvements in accounting and reporting processes and controls.
  • Ensure accuracy of corporate records through strict account reconciliation procedures and periodic trial balance reviews.
  • Perform various projects and analysis as requested.
