About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee all accounting functions, including preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, analyzing general ledger accounts, and performing variance analysis. This role also involves leading the annual audit process, preparing tax-related schedules, drafting and implementing internal control policies, and serving as a liaison between the Accounting, Finance, and Operations departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field of study
  • Minimum of 7 years of Accounting, Finance, or related experience
  • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role in a corporate environment, including 2+ years managing an accounting team
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Expert-level knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • IFRS knowledge

Nice To Haves

  • CPA prefered
  • Experience with securitizations is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and oversee the posting of accurate journal entries to ensure the proper recording of all business transactions.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Conduct a thorough analysis of general ledger accounts for Profit and Loss (P&L) and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis between actuals and forecast/budget at the overall corporate level and by individual departments and locations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and prepare necessary tax-related schedules for annual tax returns to lead the annual audit process.
  • Draft, implement, and maintain internal control policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency within the department.
  • Serve as a critical liaison between the Accounting, Finance, and Operations departments to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.
