About The Position

The accounting manager is a member of the PlayCore corporate accounting team. The position is focused on maintaining the accounting records for the PlayCore corporate entity, month-end close, forecasting and budgeting. The accounting manager will be focused on continuous improvement and finding ways to reduce administrative work for themselves and the corporate accounting team while maintaining a high level of accuracy and adhering to schedules

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required
  • Five years of experience in an accounting department preferred
  • Familiarity and experience with large company close deadlines and schedules
  • Experience with annual forecasts and cost center budgeting
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Microsoft D365 experience preferred, large Enterprise ERP system experience required
  • Continuous improvement mindset and track record of successful improvement projects

Responsibilities

  • Promote the Company's mission and values-based culture through daily interactions within the department as well as collaborating with other groups
  • Manage corporate month-end close processes and ensure journal entries and transactions are performed according to schedule
  • Coordinates the annual corporate forecast and budgeting processes
  • Supervises one accountant within the corporate accounting team
  • Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor
