About The Position

We are seeking an on-site daily talented and experienced Core Systems Business Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in optimizing our core systems platforms to meet business objectives. As a Core Systems Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, assisting in the system design, and documenting the configurations of the core systems platforms to support business operations. Will work closely with stakeholders from various departments to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements. Act as a liaison with IT team to document, and validate business requirements, processes, systems, and testing.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience required, specifically with experience working for a financial institution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience with Jack Henry’s Symitar core banking solution with familiarity of PowerOns, SymForm and other applications.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Credit Union products, services, policies, and procedures pertinent to the job.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Proficiency in requirements gathering techniques, process modeling, and system design methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or iterative development.
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, BI) and integration technologies (e.g., APIs, web services).
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), Six Sigma are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and processes.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of business requirements, including current state assessment, GAAP analysis, and future state definition.
  • Document functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring clarity, completeness, and feasibility.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design solutions that meet business needs.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed system specifications, including use cases, process flows, and data models.
  • Create functional design documents and other relevant documentation to guide development and implementation efforts.
  • Define test scenarios and conduct functional testing to ensure that solutions meet business requirements.
  • Coordinate and support end-user testing on upgrades and projects, including script development and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist in resolving defects and issues.
  • Provide advanced support for system and application issues on various products.
  • Generate and create reports for department statistics.
