The Cytometric Profiling group within the Profiling & Expression department is seeking a motivated, creative scientist to advance preclinical immunology and oncology drug development in a highly collaborative environment. The qualified candidate will generate and analyze high-quality data to support immune profiling, biomarker discovery, and platform development, while contributing to the day-to-day operations of the Flow Cytometry Core Lab.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Immunology, Biology, or related field with 5–8 years of relevant industry experience; or PhD in Immunology with 1–3 years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong foundation in immunology
  • Expertise in aseptic cell culture and primary cell isolation from human blood and tissues
  • Specialization in multi-color flow cytometry (preferably with BD Biosciences or Beckman Coulter instruments) and data analysis using FlowJo
  • Experience with high-dimensional spectral flow cytometry (preferably with Cytek Aurora) and data analysis (SpectroFlo)
  • Experience developing functional assays and measuring secreted cytokines (ELISA, MSD, Luminex)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong record-keeping practices
  • Lab-based role - onsite presence is required on all working days

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with fluorescence-activated cell sorting
  • Experience with single-cell genomics (10x Genomics, BD Rhapsody, HIVE-seq) and/or single-cell proteomics (IsoPlexis)
  • Proficiency with data analysis/visualization tools (TIBCO Spotfire, GraphPad Prism, IsoSpeak) and familiarity with high-dimensional data analysis methods (UMAP/t-SNE, clustering)

Responsibilities

  • Perform immunophenotyping of human and non-human primate blood and tissue using high-dimensional flow cytometry
  • Identify and validate target engagement and pharmacodynamic biomarkers for preclinical drug development
  • Apply single-cell technologies to enable target identification and biomarker discovery
  • Develop and execute functional assays using therapeutic antibodies
  • Evaluate novel technologies and contribute to platform development
  • Support daily operations within the Flow Cytometry Core Lab (instrument startup, shutdown, and daily QC)
  • Present data clearly in team meetings and actively participate in scientific discussions
