Requirements

  • Bachelor or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years experience in Telecom.
  • Thorough working knowledge of various software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to close complex telecommunications deals.
  • Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications products and services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
  • Proven project management and organizational abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with strong prioritization skills and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills.
  • Honest, hardworking, and dependable, with a strong work ethic.
  • Punctual and committed to being onsite in the data center five days per week

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate skills in SalesForce.

Responsibilities

  • Support telecommunications services for wholesale and agent channel models.
  • Provide full availability to the sales team for projects, calls, tours, questions, and other needs.
  • Manage sales and support of telecommunications services for SMB and Government accounts as assigned.
  • Collaborate in team selling to support the colocation sales process.
  • Oversee circuit ordering and provisioning, including project management, customer communications, escalations, and Salesforce updates.
  • Conduct accurate customer network reviews, designs, and collaborate with internal and external technical resources to create optimal solutions.
  • Interact with clients professionally to represent Switchs brand and services.
  • Maintain ongoing contact with prospects and consult on data center and network deployments using Switch data centers and Switch Connect.
  • Work with carrier partners to obtain pricing, negotiate terms, oversee provisioning, and resolve carrier-related issues.
  • Create and respond to quotes that align with customer requirements and ensure accurate pricing.
  • Enter and record all customer-related activities in Salesforce consistently and accurately.
  • Support special projects and other assigned duties.
