About The Position

We’re seeking a conceptual, performance-minded Copywriter to craft clear, compelling copy across ZERO’s brand and marketing initiatives – headlines, emails, social posts, ads, landing pages, scripts, and more. You’ll be our go-to for voice, clarity, and consistency across channels, shaping ideas and executing copy that drives action in a largely earned/organic, resource-conscious environment. Website portfolio required with short- and long-form marketing samples. (Internal title: Manager, Copy & Content.)

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in copywriting, content marketing, or brand messaging.
  • Professional experience in a healthcare or nonprofit organization and a demonstrated commitment to mission-driven work.
  • Website portfolio required showing long-/short-form work across channels (ex. ads, headlines, landing pages, emails, social, scripts).
  • Files (Google Drive/Dropbox/PPT/PDF) will not be reviewed.
  • Deep understanding of voice, tone, and content strategy.
  • Excellent editing and collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace and Slack; skill or interest in AI as a workflow tool.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, combined with excellence in tactical execution.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with healthcare or nonprofit content/marketing is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Write and edit copy for all ZERO marketing including email, website, social, fundraising, events, and printed materials.
  • Develop and maintain messaging that aligns with ZERO’s voice and values.
  • Collaborate with designers and Social Media Manager, as well as other contributors across the organization, to ensure copy is on-brand, on-strategy, and works seamlessly with visuals.
  • Optimize written content for quality, clarity, and performance across channels (web, email, social, etc.).
  • Ensure social media content aligns with brand voice and quality standards.
  • Support development of messaging frameworks and copy templates for scalable use across departments.
  • Champion brand voice and guidelines across the organization, acting as a resource and editor for cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate on brand and marketing campaigns, including overarching concepts, headlines, and taglines.
  • Bring unique ideas for engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences.
  • Utilize AI and other tools for proofing and to ensure high-quality content.
  • Demonstrate project management skills to effectively coordinate multiple requests, even with limited resources.
