About The Position

Foundation Software, a national provider of construction software and services and one of Northeast Ohio's top workplaces, is seeking an experienced, self-driven copywriter with proven ability to write compelling copy that boost engagement and convinces the reader to take action. You will collaborate with an in-house creative team to drive our advertising strategy across multiple media and lead generation platforms.

  • Crafts brand messaging that stands out from the competitors
  • Understands keyword research, comprehension of on-page SEO elements, and awareness of content marketing strategies to engage audience
  • Outstanding writing skills in variety of forms and media (e.g., ad copy, blogs, social, short stories, emails, headlines, subject lines, etc.)
  • Ability to write to different audiences (e.g., bookkeepers, financial professionals, executives) and for different stages within the marketing funnel
  • An eye for detail, grammar, and consistency
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with different tone and voice simultaneously while meeting project deadlines
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment and collaborate with a team that includes cross-company stakeholders, designers, writers, sales reps, and executives
  • B2B copywriting experience required
  • A portfolio of writing samples that demonstrate your ability to write convincing copy, headlines and subject lines required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications from Google, copyblogger, content marketing, etc. is a plus
  • Familiarity with SEO principles, keyword search and AI tools also a plus

Responsibilities

  • Offer fresh copy concepts, ideas, and contributions to a collaborative marketing team
  • Produces engaging, clear copy for digital and print ads, videos, email, direct mail, landing pages, product descriptions, and other mediums.
  • Develops eye-catching headlines, taglines, and calls to action
  • Works with analytics to continuously test various copy elements that drive MQLs
  • Draft newsletters, email and direct mail campaigns that encourage conversations
  • Attention to detail with ability to proofread work, ensuring accurate, error-free copy
  • Meeting with SMEs and stakeholders to understand audience and messaging for each product line
  • Stays current on the digital marketing trends and requirements for each platform
  • Evaluates competitor content strategies and points out market opportunities
  • Knows best practices for capturing attention and driving action through the written word
  • Work closely with our writing team to help execute our advertising and content strategy
