About The Position

The Coordinator supports talent programs within the Human Resources Talent Assessment & Analytics team and is assigned to a primary service area-Employee Selection & Assessment, Employee Performance Management, or Talent Insights & Action. The position carries out the operational and technical tasks required to run that program, including scheduling activities, preparing materials, maintaining records and data, and contributing to research and validation work. The role provides task direction to specialists, supervises interns, and supports projects and training activities. Coordinators may assist other service areas based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Behavioral Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or a combination of education and experience related to this position.
  • Two (2) years of experience supporting HR programs such as employee selection, performance management, employee surveys, workforce analytics, or related talent processes.
  • Experience coordinating projects, managing timelines, and supporting cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience preparing and communicating information, findings, or recommendations to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with data tools or statistical software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R) and best practices for organizing, reviewing, and reporting data.
  • Requires sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Visual acumen for reading and viewing computer screen.
  • Manual dexterity and fingering for working with computer keyboards.
  • Service Area Requirement: Exempt (Non-Union) employees must live within the boundaries of the CTA Statutory Service Area either at the time of employment or within 6 months of beginning employment at CTA.
  • Working knowledge of human behavior, work performance, learning, motivation, and basic research methods relevant to talent programs.
  • Working knowledge of principles and procedures related to employee selection, performance management, and employee surveys.
  • Working knowledge of job analysis, competency modeling, validation concepts, and measurement fundamentals appropriate for coordinator-level tasks.
  • Working knowledge of basic statistics, data quality practices, and methods for organizing, reviewing, and reporting data.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, guidelines, and standards applicable to assessments and HR processes.
  • Working knowledge of basic project management principles, tools, and practices.
  • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, survey platforms, and departmental information systems used for program coordination.

  • Master's degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Statistics/Psychometrics, or a related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Program Coordination and Delivery - Coordinates and executes the operational steps required to run employee selection, performance management, survey, talent-planning, and related talent programs. Provides task direction to specialists and supervises assigned interns to ensure program activities are completed accurately and on schedule. Leads small service-related projects and assists on larger cross-functional initiatives.
  • Talent Process Execution - Carries out the hands-on steps required to administer assessments, interviews, evaluation cycles, surveys, and talent-planning activities. Ensures all tasks are completed accurately, documented properly, and handled according to established procedures.
  • Research, Job Analysis, and Validation Contribution - Supports and contributes to job analysis, validation, competency modeling, and other research activities that inform talent programs. Performs coordinator-level tasks to prepare materials, collect information, and produce documentation.
  • Data Tracking, Reporting, and Information Management - Maintains and organizes the data, records, and tracking tools needed to monitor program progress and support departmental reporting. Prepares routine summaries and ensures information is accurate and stored consistently.
  • Stakeholder and Internal Client Support - Provides departments and HR partners with clear information, materials, and guidance needed to complete talent program steps. Supports communication, meeting preparation, follow-up tracking, and routine inquiries.
  • Documentation, Tools, and Systems Management - Maintains and updates the tools, templates, platforms, and documentation used in talent programs. Ensures materials are accurate, current, and organized according to standards.
  • Training and Facilitation Support - Supports the preparation and delivery of training sessions and presentations related to talent programs, such as résumé workshops, interviewer training, and process overviews.
  • Performs Related Duties as Assigned
