This full-time position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing strategies and activities for the Behavioral Health Administration's Substance Use Prevention Block Grant (F841N), and the Prevention and Health Promotion Administration's Cannabis Prevention & Control Grant (F624N). This position will have the responsibility of collaborating with local stakeholders for developing the Strategic Planning Framework that will guide the plans and strategies to improve appropriate outcomes for children, youth, and families in Wicomico County as well as supporting efforts to carry out the Strengthening Families Program. This position will represent Wicomico County Health Department on local committees relevant to prevention and health promotion activities within the scope of work for grant funded projects. This position will also work with colleagues and youth to support the Drug Action Response Team Youth Council; complete outreach and education to youth, families, and stakeholders; and expand the number of people involved in the prevention efforts in Wicomico County. In addition, this position will coordinate with colleagues to plan, promote, and carry out events, activities, and programs of the Wicomico County Health Department's Prevention and Health Promotion Division.
