About The Position

The Special Projects Coordinator manages one or more specific Division new, temporary, or ongoing projects with minimal supervision. This position oversees the project planning, implementation, review, deliverables, and wrap-up process; documents all aspects, working closely with internal and external constituents to ensure the scope of projects is appropriate and complies with university policies and Division procedures and goals. The coordinator provides and maintains a professional presence at Extension Campus, orchestrates meetings, and facilitates new partnerships, business, and programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or other related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in program development and program and/or project coordination or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience in similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in working independently, maintaining strong organizational skills, and communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in related field
  • Three (3) years of experience in coordination of projects and/or programs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and manages new, temporary, and ongoing projects for EEC by developing programs and planning, implementing, establishing, and monitoring key performance indicators, and following up.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets.
  • Handles the daily operations of assigned projects, which may include enrollment, scheduling, and fiscal management.
  • Coordinates and leads high-profile stakeholder meetings that include University staff, officials, employers, and community leaders.
  • Prepares routine status reports; prepares, interprets, and disseminates information on projects and prepares correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
