The Coordinator of Planning, Evaluation, and Research provides vision, leadership, and strategic direction for the district’s data, research, and accountability functions. This role oversees the planning, design, execution, analysis, and communication of rigorous mixed-methods evaluations of district programs and initiatives. Responsibilities include managing the integration of qualitative and quantitative data, applying advanced analytical techniques to assess effectiveness, and translating findings into actionable insights that drive school improvement and organizational decision-making. In addition, the position provides leadership in district services related to school accountability, student assessment, data analytics and performance reporting, student data management, educational research, enrollment projections, and school boundary planning. By supporting teachers, school leaders, central office staff, and the Chief of Staff, the Coordinator ensures that stakeholders at every level of the system can access, understand, and use data to improve educational outcomes and expand life opportunities for Irving ISD students.
