About The Position

The Administration Department is seeking a full time Coordinator of Event Center to coordinate the scheduling and logistics for the Post Event Space at Clark Family Branch The mission of the St. Louis County Library is to provide the resources and services to enrich individual minds, enhance lives and expand perspectives. SLCL is an award winning library system with branches throughout St. Louis County. We have transformed into a meaningful community resource with updated facilities and an array of programs and partnerships that serve over 860,000 patrons. Salary: $61,247.00 Hours: Monday-Friday, 3+ evenings per week Possible weekend hours as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Must possess a commitment to a high level of public service to Library customers
  • Must possess good judgment, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Must possess excellent communication and organization skills
  • Ability to work effectively with other Library staff in a professional manner
  • Ability to stand up to 8 hours per shift
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
  • Ability to concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously in busy atmosphere with continual interruptions
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems and improve service
  • Ability to deal sensitively and tactfully with customers and staff
  • Ability to operate various types of Library equipment
  • Ability to use electronic hardware and software
  • Ability to use a pc, word processing, and e-mail

Responsibilities

  • Schedules and monitors the Post Event Center spaces at the Clark Family Library.
  • Serves as the point person for patron reservations of Event Center spaces.
  • Serves as the on-site person for events hosted with other library departments and various library partner organizations.
  • Assists with Author Series events.
