About The Position

The Coordinator of Education and Prevention supports the University's commitment to provide an educational and working environment for students, faculty and staff that is free from sex discrimination and sexual harassment by developing, implementing, and evaluating education and prevention programs related to Title IX, VAWA and the Campus SaVE Act. This position collaborates with campus partners to promote awareness and compliance through evidence-based strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of demonstrated experience in developing and producing training programs in the field of public health, social work, sociology, educational psychology, or student affairs.
  • Demonstrated excellent public speaking, and facilitation skills for groups of faculty, staff, and students.
  • Understanding of relevant issues related to Title IX laws and policies, specifically in higher education, and experience working with issues such as interpersonal violence (including dating violence and domestic violence), sexual assault, stalking, or sexual harassment.
  • Demonstrated ability to create new and innovative educational programs, prevention programs, and promotional materials.
  • Demonstrated organizational, administrative, listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working with students and staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in relevant field, and experience in education and prevention programs in higher education, are strongly preferred.
  • Experience and facilitation of trainings that involve interpersonal violence, sexual assault, stalking, or sexual harassment; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Responsibilities

  • Educational Resource Development - Develop and maintain educational materials and resources (e.g., handouts, digital content) that explain Title IX policies, pregnant and parenting student accommodations, reporting options, responsible employee obligations, and campus/community resources.
  • Assist the Director of Intake, Assessment, and Prevention in designing outreach campaigns that reinforce prevention messaging.
  • Supervise and advise the Peer-to-Peer training program, providing guidance on content and delivery.
  • Serve as a liaison for the Title IX Office on committees and working groups.
  • Respond to general inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and available resources.
  • Prevention Strategy and Assessment - Assist the Director of Intake, Assessment, and Prevention in implementing comprehensive prevention strategies addressing sex discrimination and sexual harassment.
  • Design and coordinate campus-wide prevention campaigns and awareness programs using evidence-based approaches (e.g., Bystander Intervention, consent education).
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends, assess program effectiveness, and inform strategic planning.
  • Training and Outreach - Coordinate and facilitate interactive workshops and trainings for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Develop and adapt training curricula to meet compliance standards.
  • Facilitate trainings that promote understanding of Title IX, VAWA, and related policies.
  • Manage and track all training activities, ensuring accurate documentation and data reporting for compliance purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned
