Housed in the Dr. Julia N. Visor Academic Center, the Coordinator of Academic Support Services oversees the planning, implementation, and management of academic support programs within the Academic Enhancement unit of University College. Key responsibilities include coordinating tutoring, supplemental instruction, academic/study skills workshops, and writing assistance; supervising and training staff and student employees (including a full-time staff member, graduate assistants, and 50+ student workers); managing daily operations; and ensuring effective outreach to students. The role also involves budget planning, program assessment through data collection, and maintaining schedules and resources for academic support services. This position requires independent decision-making and strong organizational skills to advance the goals of Academic Enhancement and University College. Additionally, the Coordinator serves on the Academic Enhancement unit’s leadership team and works closely with the Associate Director of Academic Enhancement and other campus partners to align academic support services with institutional objectives and student success initiatives.
