The Archbishop is the visible principle and foundation of unity in the particular Church entrusted to him. In a unique and visible way, he makes Christ’s mission present and enduring as Shepherd of the Christian Community. In order to fulfill his mission, the Archbishop employs suitable, chosen collaborators (clerics, religious, or lay people). He shares with them the apostolic mission and entrusts various responsibilities to them. Each position employed in the Chancery helps to extend the ministry of the Archbishop in particular ways as outlined in the position description. Professional Development Coordinator for Teachers and Staff General Purpose of Essential Duties: The general purpose of this position is to support the overall mission and daily operations of the Office for Catholic Schools. In particular, the Coordinator ensures an effective and well-organized work environment for the Assistant Superintendent for Academic Excellence and the Director of Early Childhood Education, while also providing administrative, logistical, and secretarial support to the entire OCS team. Accreditation sERVICES General Purpose of Essential Duties: The Coordinator will assume responsibility for supporting the coordination of accreditation activities for schools in the archdiocese and, where needed, accreditation chairs from the Archdiocese of Seattle being sent serve in other arch/dioceses.
